The Old Bear Bed and Breakfast is everything you could hope for in
a rejuvenating getaway. The leisurely drive up the mountain takes just 90 minutes from Los Angeles. Whether you are seeking a romantic getaway, or a home base for an adventure on the mountain, we will endeavor to make your lodging experience comfortable and relaxed.
This is not a hotel, nor does it present the challenges of cabin rental. This will be your home away from
home. Our amenities include comfortable beds, romantic piney woods décor, personal items in case you left something
at home, bedside treats and snacks, and, of course, delicious breakfasts. While most rooms offer semi-private bathrooms, the
private bedroom/bathroom suite may be reserved. Free WiFi, DVD players with a well-stocked
library of top-rated movies, as well as books on a variety of topics are available. Once you settle in, you may adventure or relax as the mood suits you. Unwind in the outdoor gazebo
hot tub and then enjoy a glass of wine, a cup of tea or coffee on the back porch and take in the spectacular forest views.
Stroll through the Pine Mountain Club community, hike the numerous trails, and enjoy all that the surrounding Los Padres National
Forest has to offer. We are happy to direct you to local activities, restaurants, and special community events.Less than a mile down the road, the private Pine Mountain Club clubhouse offers year-round
tennis, children’s game area, plus entertainment and fine dining on weekends. The heated swimming pool opens in summer.
A clubhouse pass is offered to our registered guests. Golfers
can play the 9-hole executive golf course (located right across the street) for a very modest fee. We are just
a block from the General Store, cafes, and the summer live outdoor performance area. In snow season, you may wish to rent skis for a challenging cross country ski adventure or enjoy nearby sledding
slopes. Perhaps enjoy the local Hungry Valley ATV off-roading park. Upon your return, cozy up to the Old Bear Bed and Breakfast
